On the morning of August 25th, 2020 at 12:40am, it is with great sadness that Magdalena Boutte, our eighty-seven-year-old sweet mother passed away of natural causes at Swedish Medical Center, Edmonds, WA. She had lived at a loving Adult Family Home for quite some time where she was cared for with love and respect. Magdalena was of German descent and was preceded in passing by her parents, Albina and Andreas, and siblings: Erna, Albert, Werner, Wilma, Hermann, and Heinrich. Her son, our brother Thomas passed in 1968 of cancer. Magdalena loved her German family and heritage and missed them from so far away. Magdalena worked at the Military Base Exchange for nearly twenty years as a certified sales associate. She was proud of her work and achieved many certificates for her skills. She was retired on disability for medical issues that she struggled with for years until her passing. After she met her former husband Lee who served in the Military, they were married for twenty-four years, traveled, and moved to the US and raised 3 children, Thomas, and survived by two daughters Kathleen and Cynthia. The family moved to the North West after Mr. Boutte’ retired. Magdalena cared for their children when they were very young while Mr. Boutte was overseas. Her daughter Cynthia managed both parents care for several years by herself after moving them to the Seattle area. Magdalena was a great seamstress and loved to sew outfits for her children growing up. She drove a school bus and sold Avon. She also baked the most amazing German pastries. She took pride in making her family feel loved. She also loved Astrology and made charts for friends and loved ones. In spite of the controversial scientific evidence of Astrology, Magdalena was amazingly accurate in her predictions. She was a social butterfly and very well loved by all. Mom, may you rest in peace!! We love you very much and will miss you every day! |
