Katharine Ann Adams

Katharine Ann Adams passed away peacefully on October 13th in Issaquah, Washington at the age of 96. She is survived by her son, Roger S. Adams, her grandchildren, Nina J. Adams and Roger A. Adams, and her great grandchildren, Ember Adams and Blaize Adams.

Katy graduated top of her class at Wittenberg University and was one of the first women to graduate with a Master’s degree from the Ohio State University. After graduation, she pursued her passion of teaching in Panama where she would meet the love of her life, Roger W. Adams. Roger and Katy gave birth to their beloved son, Roger S. Adams, in 1957.

Katy was an avid baseball fan and rarely missed a Mariners game. She loved the Seattle Symphony as well as playing bridge with friends. Katy embodied style and fashion; from her great granddaughter to the selfless doctors and nurses that cared for her, all commented on how lovely she presented herself to the very end.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery.
