December 8, 1969 - August 24, 2022 |
Kelly Scotchler, 52, passed peacefully on August 24, 2022, into the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was surrounded by her dedicated and loving family who had supported and encouraged her throughout her courageous and difficult three-year battle with cancer. Our family is heartbroken, yet at peace that Kelly is finally free from the restraints of her ailing body. Kelly was born on December 8, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, but grew up and spent her life in Western Washington. She graduated from Kentridge High School in 1988 and earned a BS in Biology from PLU in 1992. She proudly made a career as a Senior Paramedic with South King County Medic One. The role that gave Kelly the greatest joy was that of mother to Caitlyn and Emily. She was a tireless advocate for her girls through many medical challenges and an enthusiastic school volunteer who was well known and liked by parents and staff of Cedar Park Christian School. Kelly had an abundance of interests and activities. If she wasn’t travelling, scuba diving, sewing, gardening, DIY projects around the house or adventuring in their 5th wheel trailer, she was indulging her passion for animals. She was always surrounded by her beloved pets (dogs, cats, rats, etc.) and she enjoyed riding and caring for horses. Kelly was preceded in death by her father, David Munyon. She is survived by Chris, her husband of 17 Kelly was a dedicated, caring and giving person who put the needs of her family and others before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She Her celebration of life will be held at Canyon Hills Community Church on October 1st. If you would like to send flowers, please send them for delivery on the morning of the service to the CHCC Youth Center, 22027 17th Ave SE, Bothell, WA 98021. Kelly, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. We love you so much. |
