An interment is scheduled for January 18th at 1pm at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Nicholas Wichert will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 11:00am at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10051 NE 195th St, Bothell, WA 98011. |

George R Paine died peacefully on George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Aida Paine, his son Marc, wife Kris, and daughter Judi, husband John, and his five grandchildren Andrew, Renee, Duke, Kyle, and Joseph, and one great-grandchild, Tanner. George was born in Arlington, MA to Joseph & Hannah Paine. He graduated from Portland HS, Portland ME and from USC with a Bachelor’s in Business. He entered the Navy as soon as he could (1956) and became a Flight Deck Ordnance Petty Officer on the U.S.S. Hornet. He received a letter of Commendation for risking his life to save a pilot of a downed aircraft. He was discharged from the Navy with full honors in 1959.George began working for the Quaker Oats Co. and continued with the company for over 34 years. With his passion for the water George and Aida became power boaters and spent some of their favorite times up in the San Juan Islands.
