Robert James Geiger, age 56 of Erieville, New York passed away September 23rd 2018 in Seattle Washington.
Robert was born August 7th 1962 and grew up in Newport, Kentucky. He was the son of Leonard (deceased) and Charlotte (Wildhaber). He attended Newport Central Catholic High School, obtained his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Physics from Northern Kentucky University and his Masters in Physics from the University of Maine. Rob was married to Maureen Whalen on June 17th 1989 in Cortland New York. He settled in Erieville New York, worked as senior applications engineer and was well respected in the medical device industry.
He leaves behind his mother Charlotte, his wife Maureen, his children Liam and Emma, his brothers Dennis (Rita), Lawrence (Katie), and Kenneth (Margaret), his sisters Joyce Geiger Larimore (Michael), and Janet. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard (2009).
A private memorial was held October 1st, 2018 at Elemental Cremation in Seattle, WA. A public memorial service will be held Thursday, October 4th, 2018 at St Catherine of Siena Church, Fort Thomas, KY. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Leonard and Charlotte Geiger Scholarship Fund at Newport Central Catholic High School, 13 Carothers Rd., Newport, KY 41071. Or to honor our fathers sense of humor a donation can be made to feed a big cat (preferably cougar) at the Big Cat Rescue in Florida.
