Obituaries

I had the pleasure of working with Midori. We spent lots of time together bonding over the “fun” of being class advisors. Midori always had a smile and we laughed a lot. Over these past months we have texted regularly and she was always so positive, even in the midst of suffering. This past semester, I have had multiple students share what Mrs Jones meant to them, how she was a favorite teacher, was a teacher who took extra time to help them understand concepts, how fun she was and how much she truly cared about them. Midori made an impact every day. My prayers are with all those who are hurting and missing her.

Midori was such a bright, wonderful person. I’m so thankful I had the privilege of working with her at LHS, and maybe even more thankful that my youngest son was able to have her as a teacher twice. It’s challenging to describe how much she meant to our school community; Midori was gifted as a teacher, but she also was a woman of integrity, love, and joy. I still can’t believe I won’t get to see her smile or hear her laugh again. Sending so much love and prayers to her family, so very sorry for your loss. Please know that Midori was loved by everyone she worked with and every student she had, truly.
