Cynthia (Cyndy) Elizabeth Cross, passed away May 29, 2024 after a 5-year battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Michael Cross, her mother Lucy DeBenedictis Carr, and father Alfred Randolph Carr. She is survived by her sister Randi Holland, brother Brian Carr, his husband Bruce Creager, nephew Patrick Kearney, his wife Cori Rosenberg and son Otis; and cousin Becky Hogle, her husband Chuck, and their children Michelle and Jeff; and many, many friends who loved and adored her.

Cyndy graduated from Bakersfield High School and later attended Cal State Hayward. Her husband Pete graduated from University of San Francisco and was drafted by the NBA to play for the Seattle SuperSonics and later the Kansas City Kings. Pete passed away suddenly shortly after retirement at age 28.

Cyndy had a rewarding career in human resource management, working for Bank of America, Rainier Bank, and was President of Parker Services in Seattle until she retired. She had the innate ability of getting to know people and advancing their career opportunities. The same was true of the numerous friendships and volunteer work she contributed to throughout her life in Seattle. She was Vice President of Girl Scouts of Western Washington, an active volunteer with the Assistance League of the Eastside and a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO).

Her passion for life, friendships, entertaining and food, and her love of family and friends dominated her life. She was always willing to help someone, and gave so much of herself to help make others’ lives better. We will always remember her positive outlook, enthusiasm, wonderful smile and laughter, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. We will miss her immensely.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 28 at 1:00PM in the Cedar Lodge at Trilogy Redmond Ridge, 23225 NE Greens Crossing Road Redmond, WA 98053.
