Clark was in my elementary art education class at WSU. He told me he had been mountain climbing but not back packing. I told him if he wanted to go, come to Moscow at the beginning of Aug as my husband,Phil, and I always backpacked in Aug. There he was at our front door. We all hiked the Sawtooth Mt, greatly enjoying Clark’s company . Wanting to hear all about his hike on the Creat Trail we met the next summer, to l hiked the Mission Mountains in Montana,, as Clark told us his stories around the camp fire. We have wonderful memories of Clark , he added to our lives and I am happy to know he had a successful career, travels, a loving wife and a his family held his close and was there to easy the way. I cherish my memories of Clark as a student and hiking partner, With my sincere condolences, Sandra

I wish I had known you better, Clark. We ran out of time. I knew that you enjoyed women’s tennis and crime shows, both things that I enjoy, so I looked forward to comparing notes when I saw you next. When the US Open happened, when the Australian open took place, I thought of what you would make of the women’s champions. They were good games! I will probably think of you when I watch the next tournament. I will most of all miss your smiling face. May you Rest In Peace. Silvia
