so sorry for the loss of your sister she was a true blessing in my life

Posted by jeffrey Mosley on August 31, 2018

I am truly sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the Ellis family find comfort and strength in Jesus promise along with our heavenly father Jehovah of the earthly resurrection found at John 5:28, 29, when death will be eliminated forever found at Revelations 21:4. Truly, what a glorious and almost unbelievable day that will be! It's a reality though for God cannot lie!

Char was in our BHS Class of 67. We also had a real connection throughout our years in Girl Scouts. I can stiil recall her smile and laugh. To all of her family and friends, she will be missed.

“Joy”….what a perfect middle name for someone who brought so much “joy” to others. I was blessed to be the recipient of some of that joy as Char’s and my life crossed paths. We both attended BHS, although I was a year ahead of her in school. Both of us attended SDSU and earned degrees in Early Childhood Education. We also were colleagues and roommates for a semester when we taught in the Child Development Department. I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with her in Seattle in 2002, reminiscing and sharing our life journeys. She spoke so lovingly of her family. Whether in her personal life or at her job, Char had the ability to sense what others needed……a hug, a good laugh, compassion, advice, or just acceptance. My heart goes out to you at her passing. As days go by I hope you will feel her love as you experience the caring of friends, family, and nature.

Sympathy and condolences to Char's family. Spent many nights at the house with Char, Betty, Dee and Margy and so many good memories through our high school years.. Our final Girl Scout trip to Costa Rica. She will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Char's passing. Char and I were the same age, Char and the rest of the Ellis family (Christmas-cousins) have always been part of pleasant memories from Toronto, Hendricks (Art and Hilma's) and Brookings. A real regret was that I never made it out to see Char and the Straub family in Seattle. Godspeed Char.
