A pioneer in the tech community who always advocated for learning and technology, not only for his children but the youth in his community, Caskey Dickson, son of Margaret Connor and Gary L. Dickson, passed away on January 20, 2025. He is survived by his children Lainy Ann, Connor, William, Alexander, and Marz Dickson.   He was part of the Turtle Mountain Tribe of Ojibwe.  He started his career early, when he was still a teenager in the 1990s working for Knowledge Adventure and CitySearch.   He held multiple patents in Software Engineering including working for tech giants like Symantec, Google and Microsoft.  He was involved in the tech community participating in organizations like Society of Women Engineers, LA Makerspace, and FIRST Lego Robotics.  His death is not only a loss to his family, but the entire tech community.  His family is so grateful that he is at peace.
