Obituaries

Carolyn Lee Bratz Sawyer passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023, after courageously battling several devastating illnesses for the past year. Although she often reminisced about her youthful adventure to Hawaii, Carolyn happily lived in her beloved Seattle for her entire life.

Carolyn was a truly loving and lovely lady. She treasured her daughter Lisa, nostalgic musical theater, singing, and all the children of the world. She saved every photo and card that she ever received, keeping pictures of her loved ones with her at all times.

Carolyn was deeply concerned that all children and families be well cared for and safe. Every day of her life, Carolyn prayed in earnest for good things for the people she loved. She was truly a gracious lady.

Carolyn is survived by her loving daughter Lisa, brother Darrell (Lori), nieces Carissa, Katherine, and Emily, nephews Nathaniel, Ben, and Leo, and many treasured cousins.

She is preceded in death by ex-husband Robert Sawyer, Mother Wilma, Father Clifford, Brother Richard, and Sister-in-law Susan.
